Data Scientist: TV Data Products
​
We are looking for a data scientist with a strong background in data analytics and Bayesian statistical modeling to join our Data Science team. FourthWall is creating a whole new way of thinking about media analytics. From audiences to attribution, our deep data experience coupled with our Reveal™ platform will open the door for evolution, invention, and growth across the media ecosystem. We are seeking new team members who will support our growth and help shape the next generation of media analytics.

JOB DESCRIPTION

This individual would be involved in the research and development of analytics and methodologies in Reveal - a television and digital advertising analytics platform.

Working closely with the software development team, responsibilities include understanding and translating business requirements into new analytics, building Bayesian models for both ad-hoc requirements and future products, refining existing and defining new methodologies, validating analytics methodologies and results.

QUALIFICATIONS
​

Master’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a similar degree with a focus on statistical methodology.
-
Minimum of three years of work experience in quantitative fields such as Data Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Physical Sciences and/or Engineering.

Strong Bayesian data analysis skills. Familiarity with Statistical Rethinking, by R. McElreath is a plus.

Strong analytical, quantitative reasoning, mathematical and problem-solving skills.

Experience with R and Python for data science, including: data clearing and manipulation (tidyverse, dplyr, pandas), statistical modeling software (Stan/CmdStan, Rethinking, brms, modelr, glm), and a matching R or Python graphing package (ggplot2, plotnine, matplotlib).

Understanding of software engineering and development, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

OTHER CONSIDERATIONS

Programming experience with databases including tools and environments, such as SQL, HiveQL, Hive, Map/Reduce, Spark, Hadoop, Snowflake.

Strong understanding of the data lifecycle from collection, ETL/ELT, architecture, cleansing, curation, analysis, modeling and display.

Experience working within the television and/digital advertising industry a plus.

Data Analyst: Television Data Products

We are seeking a senior-level Data Analyst in our Dulles, VA or New York, NY locations to join our team and help propel us into the future. The right person will produce compelling, advanced analytics for television Programmers, Agencies, Advertisers, and DSPs, and help drive client successes through the application of data-driven television products.
The person for this role will manage and grow FourthWall’s internal and external data practice. They will be responsible for applied data analysis, validation, and attribution, and for packaging audience analytics, including discovery, segmentation, and behavioral characteristics.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop knowledge of FourthWall’s Reveal analytics platform.

Use the Reveal platform to create compelling analytics and insights to demonstrate its value while helping our clients drive performance on TV.

Combine strong storytelling with data analysis and visualizations.
-
Assist in managing client relationships by fielding data questions and demonstrating how to find answers using Reveal and other tools.

Work with Data Science to evaluate and test new features, concepts, methodologies, and processes to support clients’ needs.

Produce and distribute weekly and monthly reports and dashboards.

Conduct training sessions with clients on best practices, methodologies, and data interpretation.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
​

Understanding of the television industry, ad tech ecosystem, programmatic buying, and TV performance metrics.

Strong data visualization skills combined with the curiosity to uncover facts and new insights.
-
Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative subject such as Data Science, Statistics, Engineering, Economics, Computer Science, or Information Systems.
-
3+ years of applied experience with media, data, or analytics.
-
Excellent teamwork skills combined with a strong sense of ownership.
-
Travel as needed when safe to do so.
